Bill Mudron: “Creation of Homer”
Mudron whips up a little something “to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the airing of the first Simpsons episode, way back on December 17th, 1989.”

This photo brings back a lot of memories. I used to love The Simpsons when they were at their peak, which in my opinion, were the middle seasons. Back in my younger days, the re-runs that ran everyday and the new episodes that showed on Sunday night, were my and my brother’s “must watch tv”. I’ll still watch some of the older episodes, but the newer ones just don’t seem as good to me, for a number of reasons. The “new” HD look just doesn’t seem right and the writing seems a little stale now, but I guess that’s understandable for a show that’s been on for as long as The Simpsons has. Going through the cast members on the flickr link above, The Simpsons had some unbelievable talent working on it. I had no idea Conan O’Brien was a writer and I’m a huge fan of The Office, which has Greg Daniels’ fingerprints all over it.
*sigh* I’m getting old.
